1850 – 1900

The project has created a heritage trail around the streets Toxteth, with interpretation banners popping up in community buildings in the area. We also have digital trails too, accessible online and in the Museum of Liverpool!

A range of educational resources –  digital and physical – have been created to accompany the project. They are aimed at different age groups, from young children to adults. All resources are downloadable from this site.

Eight of the best stories from Toxteth’s past have been re-imagined as animations that are accessible online and on DVD. QR codes on the interpretation banners link the physical trail to these films.

‘The Good, The Bad and The Scouse’ unearths some of Toxteth’s unsung heroes and undisclosed villains, bringing their stories to life for new audiences in creative and interactive ways.
